I’m Bethany, and I’d love to be your Lead Marketing Designer.

about me

I’m a marketing & brand designer with 10+ years of experience, including in-house roles at SaaS startups and tech companies.

I’m skilled in taking ownership of design while collaborating with cross-functional, remote teams to drive impact. Earlier in my career, I worked at branding and marketing agencies — and I still hold myself to the high design standards I developed there.

My wheelhouse is in working within startups to help build design systems and drive growth through strategic, data-driven design decisions.

I’m currently seeking a new full-time role after the marketing department was eliminated at my former employer last month. I would love to join a team like Goodparty.org with a purpose I believe in.

Rebranding a Salesforce Consultancy

Executing a full rebrand wasn’t in my job description as the Digital Marketing Manager at Growth Heroes — but I felt passionately that a change was in the best interest of the business, so I made it happen on top of my regular client workload.

In a two-month timeline, I created a highly effective brand identity and website design (complete with all-new content) focused on the concept of growth. In the process, I also directed and managed an in-house content writer and a freelance web developer.

My work drove a 49% increase in social following YOY, 50% increase in social engagement, and 104% increase in web traffic.

Designing a Startup’s First Customer Event

Encamp held its first customer conference in 2022, attended by top customers and prospects including Amazon, AT&T, and Marathon. I designed everything — from the event branding to all marketing assets (landing pages, display ads, email banners, mailers, and more) to the collateral for the three-day, in-person event.

It was a huge success. In the post-event survey, our NPS score was 78, meeting the “exceptional” rating of 70+ for the NPS framework. Some attendees also said my slide deck was the best they’d ever seen at a conference.

Building a Design System for a SaaS Product Launch

Encamp helps environmental professionals manage reporting to the EPA. For its second product to launch, Encamp needed a design system to represent the new Hazardous Waste reporting platform. It needed to be distinct from its flagship Chemical reporting software, but still within the Encamp brand.

I designed the direction and all marketing assets for the launch — including landing and product pages, email sends, website demo pop-ups, digital ads, blog tiles, educational content pieces, and even company swag.

Encouraging People to Vote for What They Care About

This was a personal project for my social media platforms where I designed graphics encouraging people to show up and vote in the 2020 general election.

The response was overwhelmingly positive — I received over 200 re-shares, and people even asked me to turn the graphics into t-shirts.
